The Wine Cellar “Malkata Zvezda” was established in 2005 in the place, named “The Little Pentacle”, near the town of Harmanli in South-East of Bulgaria by Doctor Stefan Angelov and his partners and associates.

This Pentacle represents an ancient commercial crossroad. Its relation to the Thracian does inspire Dr. Angelov. Hi decides to build a winery and to  make wines for his colleagues dentists, because of the difficult conditions of work in the dentistry sector, where the atmosphere is full of stress and tension, so they need to find balance and to repose after the hard workday. Another stimulus was his charitable initiative to take care for free of our Bulgarian monks in “Sveta Gora” Monastery at Atone, Greece. They asked him to deliver there  good and pure Bulgarian wine, so the story began...

      The Thracians were known as famous and skilful masters of wine which was testified by Homer. The Wine Cellar “Malkata Zvezda” highly appreciates the orthodox traditions from the past in the art and mystery of wine production, enriches them with the knew achievements and seeks the uniqueness of its trade mark that gives the wine own unique character, refined style and particular charm, makes the wine demanded and special.

      The Wine Cellar “Malkata Zvezda” follows the traditions and the inspiration of the ancient wine masters over the Bulgarian lands. The vine cellar has a production department, an underground cellar for casks, a bottling line, a laboratory, a cosy sample room and unique atmosphere in which guests can feel that wine production.The wine is a magic and “Enigma” wines series are real delight.
Our winery processes with low yielded qualitative grapes which gathered the sunbeams of Golden Thrace precondition and guarantee for the high standard of the offered wines.

      The cellar is equipped with modern technology for production of elite red and white wines whose style and refinement are due to the strict quality control of every lot of grapes. The capacity of the cellar allows to be processed about - 220-230 tons of grapes and to be produced about 130-150 thousand bottles of wine per year. The underground cellar has a capacity of 400 barrels made of French, American and Bulgarian fine oak. Wine-cellar “Malkata Zvezda” has focused its efforts in developing and offering small series of high quality wines.
      The real connoisseurs and fanciers of high quality wines may be initiated in the mystery of wine production. Passing through the whole production process, the bewildered glances are fixed at the underground cellar, where the divine drink matures and is being stored. A fragrance of oak and natural humidity, rows of barrels and echo of voices, this is only a part from the introduction tour.
